Evening All!

Have an upcoming SYD-HKG on a 747 (The version that has Premium Economy, and Economy starting in row 43)
Sadly row 43 has someone in the aisles on both sides, leaving only a window and a middle seat for me and +1..

What are peoples thoughts on row 44 ? according to seatguru this row does not recline is that true?

Any other seat suggestions?

The window seats in row 43 are quite nice and I choose them sometimes if the aisle seats have been pre-allocated. You might be able to get 43D or 43G closer to flight time if bassinets are not used.

I have never sat in row 60 but it is bulkhead although looks to have a little less legroom than row 43.

My advice is to upgrade.

I am thinking this, as I am in a high fare class (B) will only cost us 10k points each to PE then hope for an op-up due to our status, high fare class and peak holiday time.. ;)

Thanks JohnK for the advice, only issue is as there is 2 of us travelling one person would get the window the other stuck in the middle seat! And I'm sure my Mrs would want the window :) the 4 seats in the middle are already allocated.

Points Upgrade to PE on its way!

Is that what happens when you get married?

My fiancee refuses to let me sit in middle seat.

That's what happens when you get married, and your non-status wife becomes addicted to status gaining (she will make plat for the first time on this trip). :)

Just my luck, PE sale fare appeared today for the day I am flying for $42 more than I paid for Flex Y.

However lucky QF Res were able to change my fare to PE for $42 each, and waived the $80 service charge!! :)

Now put in upgrade to J in a zone or upstairs!!

I'd love to, but given that Upgrades for Plat's are only granted upgrades ~48hours before departure, what's the bet I would get either split seating or the coughpy middle J seats downstairs...
