Flying QF 63 Syd to JNB 10th Feb. Booked PE as we would be ok with this. Points upgrade requested (husband is QF Gold) and we have scored upgrades on last 4 trips. Checking seataware daily and they are down to 12 seats in business, which includes some of the qantas blocked ones, and only two are seated together (11J and 11K upstairs. Been very happy with last few trips as scored in "first" cabin right at font, but if we want to sit together this would be only way.
Just wondering if they are more likely to allocate single seats to single travellers, or would they offer us even if they are sitting apart. Not sure if this question makes sense. Also if they allocate single, what are the chances of maybe being swapped with a single traveller. I realise people select certain seats for a reason, just like I do. But who knows, someone might be willing???
