I'm a QC member and my husband and I will be travelling to HK soon. My in-laws have decided to join us but I feel bad about leaving 2 elderly people wandering around the HK airport by themselves. Does anyone know if we can purchase QC Guest passes or is the only other option to buy an annual guest card? Any help would be great. Thanks

Welcome to AFF andyk!

No you can't buy guest passes. however there are a couple of options:

A few amex cards have one off QP passes - I can't remember which ones off the top of my head.

Post your flights under the appropriate month and someone may be flying that day that can guest them in.

I am not sure if the guest card allows more than one guest which may be a problem if there are 4 of you.

Is there such a thing as an annual guest pass? I think these are no longer available.

Unfortunately the only you can buy Qantas Lounge guest passes is from eBay but you won't know if these are genuine until after purchase. Or the other option as mentioned is to get a Qantas Amex Premium card which comes with 2 Qantas Lounge guest passes but also a $195 annual fee.

I guess the right thing to do is swap boarding passes for a little while your in-laws visit the lounge and you wait for them outside. Plenty of places in HKG airport to sit and have something to eat and/or drink.

Ahh! At $285 it sounds expensive for one trip.
That is why is called and marketed as an Annual Guest Pass and not a "Once-Time Guest Pass".

If used monthly or better, it may be reasonable value. It fits a certain demographic, but as you say, its not a consideration for the people in this thread.

Thanks for the update everyone.

Michael (MVJS), thanks for your message. I can't reply as I need 15 posts apparently. Can you send me a contact email?
Thanks
Andy
