Qatar Economy options: what seat selection benefits for QFF Gold

Hello, I am considering whether to use Qatar for travel for 2 pax to Europe and looking at the Economy Convenience and Comfort options.

Does anyone know whether my Gold (OW sapphire) allows seat selection from all the best economy seats (legroom!); and whether my status allows seat selection for both passengers on the booking.

And if it does allow that selection, is there any reason to pay more for the comfort option ?

TIA
John

Just back from Cyprus, QR discount Y as QF Gold x 2.

Seat selection was wide open. Mrs willyroo is tall, so took 19D (19E for me) on the 777, and 11B and C (exit row) on the 320. Check Aerolopa for the seat plans...

All economy seats, including exit rows, were available with no cost.

What else on QR Y?
  • Seat selection!!! QF you have to play the T80 game to get decent ones
  • We were greeted on each flight as OWS - rarely happens with QF
  • Starlink on the B777 was seamless and fast
  • Food was pretty good for economy
  • Booze better than QF international
  • Service better than QF international
  • The fleet is newer - yes the B777 is a different beast to the A333, however the QF 330s are really tired in comparison
Walked past the Qsuites on the way to Y, they look to be right up there with the best J we've tried...
