Qatar award availability from Aus Q

Hi all,

I’m a newbie with redeeming on Qatar but I have some AA miles I thought I’d try using to book J awards on Qatar from PER to Athens (or even Perth - Doha. I’ve used the BA search tool (and Qantas) and cant find any J awards at all searching 1yr out.

I’m assuming they just don’t release many awards to partner airlines but thought I’d check on here to make sure I’m not missing something!

They just don't release many award seats full stop.

Thanks, I’ll stick with Krisflyer and what I’m used to!

We managed to snag QR J awards in April this year and March next year. Just ticketed that one this morning. Not as busy a time, travelwise, but still think we were fortunate to find anything with QR.

Cant find anything QR PER-DOH vice versa. Dec18/June19/July19

Just picked up 2 x J PER/IAD mid Feb 19, return early Mar 19. There were up to 4 J seats available on some of the dates around then on the BA and QF sites..
