I can’t vouch for International but my wife flew in Y for work last week to MEL and on the way over she used her QF Gold to get into ADL lounge but on the way back she flashed her QR Plat card and was admitted to J lounge rather than the QP

Have done this multiple times this year without ever getting denied access. Walked in and said "Oneworld emerald" and shown my Qatar card. BP still crediting to QF for points/status credits

Similarly, would the same work for accessing OWE perks at checkin (specifically additional baggage)?

I've put my bronze QF number in during the booking and I'd like to avoid the hoops for changing it back and forth. I don't care about the QF SCs/points but not sure if I'd get anything for crediting to QR anyway.

Lady at the lounge said that the Qatar FF number is supposed to be on the booking / boarding pass to let me in.

But since it’s quiet she let me in anyway.

There’s nothing in the rules saying that. Just have to be a Oneworld Sapphire/Emerald and be on a Oneworld flight.

Saying that though, QR status pax aren’t being admitted to the BNE International Lounge at the moment. Hoping that changes when QF15 moves to a later departure.

I'll see how I go on the way back, but have a fairly tight connection in LAX so might not get the chance to head to the lounge.

I explained to her I had to use my QFF number so I could upgrade. She seemed sympathetic. But yeah, I agree - shouldn't have to be on the boarding pass. I used it for the domestic lounge in Brisbane a few months ago and wasn't hassled about it. (I'm QFF Bronze).

Wow so at time of booking you used your QFF membership number and still got the lounge access just by showing your digital Qatar platinum card?

Exactly right. Nothing in the rules that says the Oneworld emerald number must be on the ticket, just show the proof you hold that status.

Same. I have done this a heap of times, sometimes the lounge staff just need to be reminded of the rules but I’ve never had an issue.

Have literally just gone into the MEL Business lounge now with a QF boarding pass, and showed my QA Platinum status without an issue

Did anyone end up requalifying on 300 rather than 540 Qpoints?

I suspect the 300 was only intended for the first year, but the notification still keeps showing up when I open the QR app. I could actually have a shot at 300 before the end of year, but not 540!

never had an issue entering the QF Dom J lounge, but early on with the QR status match...

Should be no issues - did it several times for BNE J DOM / SYD J DOM / SYD F INT / HNL J INT / LAX J INT

Can confirm the same as edge I was able to get into the first lounge in Sydney with no issues. Had breakfast and lunch in the lounge before leaving for Jakarta..

So it seems that QF number on BP is no barrier to lounge entry using QR OWE status.

But just bumping the question regarding other QR OWE benefits at check-in, such as extra luggage. OWE are entitled to an additional bag on QF flights. Does anyone have experience of getting the OWE benefits at check-in with QF number in the booking?
