I have just sent off my application

I did a print to pdf of the main My Velocity page (it went for 4 pages) as it shows my name, member number and the activity

Good luck!

I assume you also sent a photo/copy of your Velocity card? (I know the info is also on that webpage, but the T&Cs say that a copy of the card is also required, presumably because webpages can be digitally altered relatively easily.)

I did. I had to find my physical card first. I always use the digital one.

I took a photo of the physical card and attached that.

Yes copy of your velocity card required as it shows your review date Velocity # & full Name

I use the Load More button down at the bottom of the activity page, and selected Print and Save as PDF however that file was too big.

I then selected the Type button to display only Status Credits earned. This PDF file is much smaller. I hope it's what they want. I earned enough Status Credits to retain platinum in about two months into my new membership year and there's a lot of points earned by shopping etc after that.Screen Shot 2020-05-18 at 10.39.35 am.pngwhich takes up a lot of room after that.

I'm linking the Qcalculator here for everyone's reference as it shows the amounts of points for any flight pretty easily - even those through partners. So if you're particularly keen and QR waive the sector/QR flight requirement, you could earn the points through QA domestic flights.

Strangely didn't seem to work for the Cathay HKG-TLV route. But otherwise I really like that they have that calculator available!

It looks like you can only earn miles on Qantas domestic flights if they are immediately followed by an international sector on QR of QF.
That's quite inconvenient.

'Accrual on Qantas domestic flights are only eligible when they are in conjunction with an international flight marketed by either Qantas or Qatar Airways on the same ticket.'

Thank you for that pick up!
That's very inconvenient, I guess I got sucked in by this wording on their site

Privilege Club members can earn Qmiles and Qpoints on booking classes for flights
marketed**and operated*** by any one
world airline."

● ** Marketed refers to the airline whose flight number is specified on your booking.
● *** Operated refers to the airline you are flying with.

I thought that as QF domestic are marketed and operated by QF as a OW airline they would be covered.

I wouldn't remove all the transactions that don't involve status credits being earned.

If the PDF file is too big, you can reduce the size using a free tool such as Smallpdf - Compress PDF – Reduce your PDF Online for Free

Thanks for that. A handy site I didn't know about.
I converted the last two months of my Velocity statement to PDF. It shows only Flybuys points transfers, credit card earnings and the withdrawal of all my points which were transferred to KrisFlyer.
I suspect many others will have similar things on their accounts.

How bizarre. I'm not seeing that requirement anywhere else, and there's no mention of it if you input a domestic route into the Qcalculator.

Does anyone have any real-world experience with this? I wonder if perhaps the website is out of date...

Have sent off my email with a PDF of my activities broken down into Status Earning flights and then a photo of my card. hopefully this works.

Agree it's weird and seems at odds with basic OW principles (accepting some cheap fare classes are ineligible elsewhere). Maybe someone took the ability to make a QF dom flight into a QR codeshare to their own logical conclusion

Will this affect my status with Virgin, assuming they are able to get it together and start flying again?
