Monday 15 December's QR908 from DOH to SYD (A388 A7-APC) is the 2040 hours that wasn't in the sky until 2335, so on Tuesday 16, SYD gate arroval becomes 2115 hours, 145 minutes late. Its next flight is the 2140 hours scheduled QR909 back to DOH that may have trouble taxiing by 2245 to meet the 2300 hours curfew. Will it receive a dispensation from the Minister's delegate?

One I missed until today was the Sunday 2040 hours DOH-SYD (A388 A7-APE) did not take off until 0135 on Monday 22. SYD arrival was just in time to beat the curfew at 2252 hours, 242 minutes late.

The curfew dispensation report won't be tabled in Federal Parliament for weeks, but it looks like a dispensation was refused, as the A380 stabled in Sydney overnight. On Tuesday 22, it took off at 1542 with arrival in DXB as QR909 said to be about 2223 hours, 1073 minutes late.

Hopefully for all the out-of-towners Sydney accommodation was sourced.

Saturday 27 December 2025 saw QR904, the 2020 hours DOH-MEL airborne at 2123 mid evening with B773ER A7-BAE. Gate arrival on Sunday 28 should be at about 1858 hours, 68 late, so it will have lost some time in running if that stays correct. The unpunctuality is due to the previous flight, QR702 from JFK to DOH arriving 126 minutes late at 1921 hours.

Thankfully QR905, the MEL-DOH flight next up isn't scheduled to depart until 2340 hours very late tonight, once again showing the advantage of international carriers allowing for generous turnarounds at outstations.

B773ER A7-BAM on Sunday 28 December is the 2020 hours DOH-BNE QR898 that was not in the sky until 0044 hours on Monday 29. Expect gate arrival at approximately 2123 mid evening, 233 minutes late. This aircraft must be substituting for a failed same class of plane as its previous flight was the SYD-DOH flagship VA1 that arrived DOH yesterday evening at 2238 hrs, two minutes early.

The 2020 hours Monday 29 December 2025 QR904 from DOH to MEL was in the sky at 2130, so Wednesday 30 gate arrival for B773ER A7-BAC should be about 1821 hours, 31 minutes late.

QR914 (2020 hours Sunday 4 January DOH-ADL with A359 A7-AML) was in the sky at 2145, so on Monday 5, gate arrival should be at around 1752, 47 late.

For a second consecutive afternoon, storms in and around SYD on Monday 5 January 2026 are creating delays.

The Sunday 4 January QR908 (the 2040 hours ex DOH) took off at 2111 hours, so hardly late. On Monday 5 as at 1846 hours it had just emerged from a hold near Ungarie NSW, so expected gate arrival has become 1940 hours, 50 minutes late.

On Saturday 10 January, QR908, the 2040 hours DOH-SYD, did not take off until 2213 hours. Sunday 11 sees gate arrival at about 1945 hours, 55 late for A388 A7-APH. Many aircraft arriving are in a holding pattern.

Friday 30 January's redeye from MEL to DOH, the 2340 hours QR905 with B773ER A7-BEN took off at 0006 on Saturday 31. Forecast arrival at gate is 0642 hours, 47 late.

Stranegly not all QR flights ex Oz are showing on Sunday 1 March 2026 as 'cancelled', but they are, given as @LionKing reported above, Qatari airspace is closed.

So i have 2x QR flights coming up.

QR943 SIN - DOH on May 9th in J
QR908 DOH - SYD on May 9th in J

I recenetly started using the Flighty app, and QR943 approx 3 weeks ago is now cancelled . No change to QR908 yet.

I booked via VA with VFF, and have recieved no email from VA or QR stating it's cancelled. Manage booking on QR website as dropped off but still on VA.

You can still book reward seats with VA on this date (in Y) - what to make of this?

The 2020 hours DOH-MEL QR904 on Saturday 27 June 2026 took off at 2106 with B773ER A7-BEH. Gate arrival should be approximately 1737 hours, 47 late so it will have lost a little time en route.

On Frtiday 31 July 2026, QR900, the 'small hours' 0230 hours from DOH down to PER was in the sky at 0405 hours. B773ER A7-BAI should arrive at around 1946 this evening, 71 minutes late. Its preceding flight from AMS to DOH was less than half an hour late although the turnaround allowance was slightly tight.

The Tuesday 4 August 2026 QR904 (2020 hours DOH down to MEL, B773ER A7-BAO) was in the sky at 2132. Gate arrival late afternoon on Wednesday 5 should approximately be 1747 hours, 57 minutes late. The return flight, QR905 is not timetabled to push back until late tonight - 2245 hours - so QR has allowed substantial time in between international flights. Prudent.

QR904, the Saturday 15 August 2026 2020 hours DOH-MEL (B773ER A7-BEI) was in the sky at 2117 hours, so Sunday 17 gate arrival should be around the 1735 hours mark, 45 behind. QR905, the flight back to DOH is the 2245 hours.

The BNE-bound (also naturally ex Doha) QR898 (A7-BEU, same model) is very similar, with this 2025 hours departure up up and away at 2123 last night. Sunday 16 arrival at gate looks to be 1819 hours, 49 behind. The return flight, QR899, is not timetabled to depart until 2210 hours.

Given Doha is its hub, the timing of the return flights can be heavily influenced by facilitating reasonable connection times to locations such as LHR.

However QR's quite generous scheduled stays in Melbourne and Brisbane are wise irrespective, as in the event of late running of the 'down' flights from Doha to Australia, it increases the chances of returning DOH-bound flights being punctual.
