You didn't mention if you have the standard, Platinum or Black card. On the Amex component you earn 1 point per $1 spent on the standard, and 1.5 points per $1 on the Platinum and Black. In addition, you earn 1 bonus point per $1 spent on your QF flight ticket purchase. Again, depending on which card you have a cap on points earning potential may apply. You should refer to this page for more details.Thank you.
It's the ANZ Qantas Frequent Flyer Visa and AMEX rolled into one. Pretty sure it's 1 point per dollar spent, plus I get bonus points, sometimes 1.5 points for things like ANZ insurance and any other bonus partners. So yes, I see now it's better than Qantas card. However the percentage the travel agents charge to use CC scares me a little. can't remember the percentage off hand but sure it's standard. I'm never really sure whether earning the points is worth spending that % on larger amounts.
Thanks so much for everyone's replies.
You could try negotiating the % that travel agents charge for cc use. They will waive it sometimes - depends on how much they are getting out of the fare. If you are getting a good deal on the fare they are less likely to waive cc fee.Thank you.
