Qantas Wine latest offering

There's no option to use a voucher once the free wine is added to the cart, as it applies as a promo, and only one promo per order.
I used a $50 voucher on each of my two orders on the last screen (credit card screen). It actually had 2 places to put the code, one at the top of the page and one to the right of the screen.

Weird, it disappeared for me. You are right, I failed to keep clicking 🤦‍♀️

And so the freebie does remain once the voucher is used.

Now that I'm here, I'm resisting the urge to place another order ;)

Assume the $360 spend criteria is after any $50 voucher discounts?

Pulled the pin and ordered something. Voucher worked and came to $400 net so moot point. No idea how good the free 6 pack is but probably doesn’t matter with 18,000 bonus points also thrown in. 🤷‍♂️

No voucher here, but it seemed like a decent deal for 25,280 pts and 18 (half decent?) reds for $426.60.

I like the format of your post; if you added a column for cost per bottle you could become my goto wine advisor!

(Yes, I realise it's all about the points but I still like to know how much each bottle costs.)

Interesting observation. Nearly all the stuff being offloaded with high points bonuses are very heavy reds. Shiraz, cab, and blends thereof, which have fallen out of favour, with modern tastes shifting towards lighter reds.. Are they loading them up with points to shift the inventory?

Of the lighter red varietals there's only one Pinot on the list and no Merlot or Sangiovese.

This has always been the case with Qantas Wine, from what I've seen.

That would seem to suggest a long term problem with the way their in house buyers are acquiring wholesale stock. Basically not getting the right mix and carrying inventory that worked for the market 10 years ago
Assuming they are actually buying all the wine rather than just selling some of it on consignment or on behalf of others.
