We often pay one way, use points the other if one leg is overpriced and just take the CR.

I'm easing off buying Qantas wine, as I find getting decent value from the points is getting harder and harder.

When my cellar gets overly depleted, I might reconsider, but that's up to Qantas Wine.

Yes I think the guy said to me yday that they only had like 30 cases of it! Apparently its a good drop and good value for points.

Pulled the trigger on a Qantas Wine purchase for the first time in ages. Got the Woodlands cab merlot at just over $30 pb with 15k bonus points, plus 10k additional bonus points as the total purchase was $550+ (got some whisky and gin to get over the line)

I've had the Woodlands before and thought it was solid value for money.

Excellent. Bought the Ready Set Fly Dozen and a bottle of Morris Tawny to get me over the $550 line. 1.55cents per point (35,664 in total). That's right up there with the best deals ever.
