I had one of those a few weeks ago. Useful to buy points with bonus wine.

Mid Sep 2024. I was OS Dec / Jan, so could order any. Email voucher arrived exactly 5 mths later (mid Feb).
My email commences: "Dear Briarflyer, We know how much you enjoy Qantas Wine," which seems to suggest I'm availing myself too often. Hence no $50 voucher for me. :D
I might get one of those. Recently made up for the drought over summer! 😉

Could be persuaded with this offer. Anyone have any opinion on the actual wine before I Pull the trigger?

Blue Pyrenees Premium Red Six is back. 26,215 points for $405 with PCP at 1.54cpp (or 1.35cpp with a $50 voucher).

I bought this last year and thought the wines were pretty decent. The other good news is that there's only 6 in a case, meaning the 4 cases I ordered to get me (most of the way) to PCP take up less space in my spare bedroom.

(Sadly, I broke down before Qantas sent me another $50 voucher.)

The good news is that it is a half decent drop (I've just had a glass or two with dinner). The bad news is that there are only 6 bottles. It's really not that good.

I'll be waiting until there is a promo for a box of 12 decent reds. And I don't really need the points.

Thankyou for the sharp update.
I grabbed just a 6pack.

Thanks for sharing. Was tempted to buy another half dozen, but my next AMEX statement will tip me back over to PCP and my two wine vouchers are valid till November so will likely be better utilised as spend in my new membership year.

As a quaffing wine you can crack open and consume without remorse, the Blue Pyrenees isn't bad - especially at that points/price point. Personally prefer the old Curtis Martins Limited Shiraz w/30K bonus points though.

Yeah - it's pretty decent, although I much prefer cool climate drops as really tannic wines keep me awake at night (I prefer Pyrenees to McLaren Vale for this reason), so we may have to differ on the merits of the wines that accompany the purchase of our points - was the Curtis Martin a trad McLaren Vale shiraz or a bit mellower?

Anyway, my work colleagues (and I) will benefit from many bottles over the coming months as I'll take them to the monthly office drinks to get rid of them. Better than the cheap plonk that tends to get purchased by my colleagues for whom spending $10 on a bottle of wine is an extravagance (ah, the joys of public service life ;))...
