Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Hi everyone,
Looking to get some expert opinions. We're flying out on QF33 PER-PAR next Wednesday and have requested an upgrade to Business or Premium Economy from economy. My father submitted the request on our behalf, as we're traveling with him. He's a Platinum member and I'm Bronze. What are the chances of the upgrade being approved?

If he is within the same booking, then you should get his priority for the request, though anything higher than a single pax upgrade is tough on such a premium route in the highest of peak season... If he is on a separate booking, then you get no priority in terms of the upgrade request or sequence I'm afraid. As noted above, maybe seek a loads check from the relevant place as well. Mrs WF (SG) and I (WP) are on separate QF bookings QF 113 (DRW-SIN) on Friday 11 Jul courtesy of gift cards. PNRs are linked and both upgrade requests were made through telephone support.
My upgrade came through at T-60 and EF showed availability change from JCDI9 to JCDI2. None of the 12 J seats are allocated. MrsWF does have mobility support requested.
Any thoughts on the chances of Mrs WF having an upgrade allocated but not announced (SG is T-24?)
Or do the J seats exDRW sell due to other customers enjoying last minute wandering

Counting down the days to my flight QF 1 SYD > LHR 10/07.
Status: Platinum
Upgrade requested Y > J including Y+
I put the upgrade in immediately after booking in August/24, praying to the upgrade gods. But looking at these loads I think I am about to have my first SYD > LHR Y flight. If I receive an upgrade to even Y+ I think I might buy a lotto ticket.

The loads as of today:

Question I seemed to have overlooked until now, I requested SYD > LHR. This means I will only be considered for SYD > LHR and not SYD > SIN and SIN >LHR right?

From the looks of past comments, can I instead cancel my upgrade request and request for just SYD - SIN, SIN > LHR individually? At this late stage do the brains trust think that is a good idea?
