Unsuccessful (as expected) QF63 Classic reward Y to J. SG and Bronze.

On the other hand they "downgraded" our seating allocation for QF501 and I only realised when we were at the top of the rear stairs. Having originally selected 29B & C, for whatever reason the flight went from half empty overnight to chockers this morning and Qantas saw fit to separate my wife (with infant) and I putting us both in middle seats. Not particularly impressed.

Mrs JustinF upgraded from Y to PE using points for tonight's SYD-YVR flight.
She is lowly Bronze and interestingly her work colleague, who is Gold, has not been upgraded yet. I think he put in a cash bid, but not sure.

A good lesson [potentially] learnt for the colleague... even a WP on a bid would be processed behind the bronze member with a classic upgrade request in

Success on tonight’s QF2 LHR-SYD Economy Saver to Premium Economy at T-21 as WP. Loads were showing J9 and W5 before going to sleep.

Points still haven’t been debited from the SIN-LHR upgrade on the way over.

Same flight flex economy to W. P1 . Plenty of J seats to sin but none from sin to Syd. Next time will change flight nos in Sin

J1 remaining from what I can see to SIN, was at J9 before going to bed last night.

SIN - LHR was F7 last week and F4 yesterday. Shows the perils of dropping back to SG on the upgrade ladder. Thankfully I’ll be restored to WP after this trip.

I assume it takes your current status when the flight occurs and not when you bid for upgrade? I was gold last month and just dropped to silver but bought a flight and bid for an upgrade three months ago whilst gold.
