Qantas Upgrade International Glitch

Hi all

Wondering if anyone could help with an upgrade glitch I am getting.

I am a platinum member with 2+ mil points, and flying with a gold partner.

1) Booked flex economy flight from CDG to PER for 25 Jan, flying in less than 48 hours now. Lodged an upgrade to business at the time of booking 10 months ago.

2) One month prior, the upgrade button is now broken, and leads to a “We’re experiencing some problems” page.

3) Called up QF, and asked to manually request an upgrade.

4) 48 hours prior to departure, received a message saying that the upgrade request was unsuccessful due to insufficient points balance.
Called up QF again, and was advised the previous QF consultant applied for an upgrade from my partner’s account rather than mine.

5) They’ve “re-requested” another upgrade for both of us. There appears to be 8 business seats still left.

However, I’ve noted on several posts on this forum that notes once the system has rejected an upgrade, we won’t be upgraded again.

Is there anything else I can do from this position?

Thank you so much in advance.

What’s the upgrade status now showing online in MMB, after they manually re-submitted a request?

It’s now showing as requested.
I’m concerned as some posts on this forum says this does not fix the problem.
Any ideas please?🙏
