Qantas unveils the biggest changes to status in program history

I would happily make a $100 for an extra 10 status credits but the issue is that it will take I think take quite a number of flights to complete, unless I suppose you are flying long haul.
Yes, long haul offsets jump up quite a lot. Also, higher cabins also attract higher offset values.

But probably much more than $100 (for a return ticket).

No doubt someone will calculate the sweet spot eg multiple short hops or 1-2 longish hops.
I wonder will they introduce any other options for earning points in the sustainability category.
That would be nice, but there’s nothing in the recently published definitions. Given that it’s already possible to drop $100+ on a single booking, I suspect no other options will appear.

I wonder if they’re having a few IT issues. I’ve just switched over as well but it hasn’t properly reset my account to a new year, last year’s SC’s haven’t been wiped yet, and my PC target to reach before 8 December still includes all of last year’s points. Might have to give it a few more days to update?

I just switched to new membership year and just received the message that I have Points Club + will 31st October 2028 🤨
Ditto. (Give it a day or two and the system should right itself though, taking my SCs with it sadly.)

I'm hoping that they announce what will replace the ability to earn SCs on award travel soon mind you, given that I'm relying on award travel to get my four squiggles next year (A fun little MEL-SYD-CBR-SYD jaunt is locked in.)
