Yes, if you requal before 8 Dec, you should have it until 31 Dec 2027.

My year ends Nov 30. I wonder if I can hit PC within a week, I mean I know I can with transferring Amex MR points. Probably worth doing given doing so would then allow me to earn SC on QF award flights until Nov 30 2028.

Just remember there is a cap on how many points per transaction can be applied to PC - I think it's 125,000.

Thanks. I think that's in one transaction. Regardless I can pull 20k from QF QBR transfer and bank up another 5k in Woolies Rewards if need be.

Just remember the WOW transfer is all or nothing. You can’t transfer part of your EDR balance.

My approach has been an EDR sweep then QBR, then an Amex top up.

I don't have the credit card that can transfer, my ending at 30 November too. I think the only thing I can do is Qantas Wine. Just wish WWS had a good gift card deal that week. Any ideas?

I am curious as to how the interaction of the timing of some of these changes will be handled.
(1) Increased status retain threshold;
(2) Phase out of PC+ SC rollover;
(3) Phase in of general excess SC rollover;
(4) Phase out of Loyalty Bonuses; &
(5) Phase in of SCs on the ground.
On their website, QF states that:
(1) "Changes to Status Credit retain targets will come into effect later in 2027."
(2) "Members who achieve PC or PC+ before 8 December 2026 can continue to enjoy the benefits until the end of that membership year."
(3) The general excess SC rollover will apply to all membership renewals on 31 December 2026 and beyond. For membership years expiring from 31 August 2026 to 30 November 2026, "A percentage of the Status Credits you earn beyond your tier attain threshold in your next Membership Year will be eligible for rollover."
(4) "More details on the retirement of the Loyalty Bonus will be shared in 2027.".
(5) "The eligible activity from the start of your Membership Year you are in on 8 December 2026 will count towards earning Status Credits on the ground. All eligible points will be credited to accounts when the feature launches on 8 December 2026."
My membership year ends on 30 September. I have WP & PC+ through to 30 September 2027.
Based on the above, as a PC+ member I should retain the right to roll over 100 SCs on 30 September 2027. That benefit can only be exercised at the end of the membership year, so if it isn't available at the end, it isn't available at all.
I should also be able to rollover up to 500 of any excess SCs as a WP member, under the new program rules.
I should still earn Loyalty Bonuses at least up until 31 December 2026, and for an indeterminate period in 2027 pending a further announcement.
And I will earn SCs on the ground based on points earned in eligible categories from 1 October 2026.
As "later in 2027" is vague, there is currently no way to know if I will need 1200 or 1400 SCs to retain WP.
But it does seem like there could be a significant one off advantage of overlapping benefits.
Namely, PC+ SC rollover, WP excess SC rollover, Loyalty Bonuses and SCs on the ground.
That would go some way to offsetting the higher retain threshold, if it applies.
Unless the implementation of the transition is enhanced.
