Qantas T-80 no longer a thing?

Has Qantas stopped the T80 ability to select seats?
Short answer: No
I'm flying J on a BNE-SYD 737-800 and it is currently -T52 and I still get the following message when trying to seat select

Individual seat selection isn't available for this flight.
Select a seat preference
As others have suggested, it’s probably very full. How many PAX on your booking?

A free Expert Flyer (EF) account is handy to check seat availability (free, taken and blocked - the later could become free at checkin).

Only 1 pax. I have expert flyer and it shows the front row blocked but I thought they became available at T80

T80 worked for me on two flights between MEL and SYD last week. I'm QFF Bronze and snaffled row 4 on both flights.

T80 worked for me last week both ways (ADL-BNE and BNE-ADL).

Scored the coveted row 4 BNE-ADL (ADL-BNE was in business class, but still scored row 2, which on the 10 seat business configuration E190's was in fact the front row).

Flight maps still working for me in the next two days...

grabbed row 1 or 4 on 3 flights - missed row 4 on the last flight so 5 it is

Altea prevents seat selection once it reaches 80% and/or when your availability of seats based on status reaches 80%.

It doesn't stop seat selection at 80%. I don't know who came up with the 80% here but it's never been true.

The QF site will not show a seat map when there's not enough freely available seats available to cover the number of pax in your PNR for your status level. For a bronze/no FF number pax on a QF B738, that means if all seats from row 15 onwards are either blocked (eg. seat broken) or allocated, the QF website will not show a seat map.

QF Operations Centre. Not a call centre.

QF operations would have zero idea about how the website behaves... and they have nothing to do with a flight that is not within 80 hours of departure.

QF1 in PE later this week, now T-70 and bulkhead row still not unblocked.

Every open seat in the cabin is occupied so I get the generic seat selection error in MMB.

Called QF and played dumb, they told me the seats will open at T-48.

I'm P1 and that's what I see. I think 31J can only be allocated at airport.
