Good morning,

As I write this I am sitting in DRW QP after manually checking in. Along with the rest of QF829 and every other flight leaving DRW this morning. The check in engine is down, nation wide. Boarding passes are being hand written; queues are getting longer; tempers fraying. I managed to check in online using passbook, however as there was uncertainty if the gate scanners were going to work, I also queued for a BP.

If you are flying out of a major airport today, I suggest you get there realllllllly early.

There is no indication as to when the problem will be fixed, and my flight departure time has just passed with no announcements.

I will post more when I know more.

Much the same at PER, the red-eyes were all delayed and QF are paging each person individually on each flight when required to board

Nothing noted on either 7 or 9 news this morning nor anything further on this thread so guessing the issue has been resolved in time for the morning peak?

Well I have landed in SYD to find calmness. It looks like the problem has been fixed in the last few hours. :). Phew.
