Panini bar closed at 8pm

Got to the Sydney lounge at 7:30pm tonight and they were in the final stages of cleaning the panini bar so it must have closed around 7pm.

Pretty disappointed as the only other options were the usual salads or the remains of a chicken curry with no chicken in it.

Ciabatta was tasty (albeit a very messy) combo. Blueberry and banana bread was also quite nice.

I did not expect to see proper good food at SYD dom J tonight.

That is a delicious teriyaki chicken thigh. (Not quite Panini bar I'm aware). There's even a nice looking salad and wraps on the toastie stations which meant you could've made your own Chicken wrap.

I’m not much of a reviewer and I try to be positive whenever possible. So here goes:

This burger is loaded with potential. The addition of a fresh bun and beef that wasn’t overcooked and reheated may provide a more premium burger taste. The beetroot relish was genuinely good, however passengers should moderate their overall expectations. Culinary awards or Michelin stars appear out of reach.

Well the burger is currently on “probation” ahead of deployment to the F Lounge, right? Still time left to perfect the formula.

I'd be disappointed if they launched it in F and it was average. They have stiff competition from pier F thats a very good burger.

Yes, but it's pretty average IMO

Would do this every day over the toilet-like residues that are usually displayed in the Biz lounge buffet.
