Qantas Sydney Domestic Business Lounge Escalator Refurbishment

Went to enter the Qantas Sydney Domestic Business Lounge today and found both the escalator entrance and exit closed. All traffic is diverted through the Qantas Club Escalator for entry and exit.

While the construction is away will need to allow an extra 1 minute to enter and exit to go around the long way.

I wonder if this will allow for speedier entrance and exit when complete

Or just given them a refurb and run them for another ten years while you await delivery of the replacement.

I assume they're going to be like the escalators to the QC (which have been upgraded now). LED light bars and a really obvious emergency stop button in the middle of the escalator.
