Qantas survey -leaving Oneworld?

I'm not sure how anyone could have drawn a conclusion from the survey that QF might be leaving OW.

The question would have been asked because they want a sense whether you fly other OW airlines but credit those flights to AAdvantage, Executive Club, Enrich, Asia Miles etc.

My sense is that since they slashed point and SC earn on partners, the number of QFF members crediting flights from OW partners to their QFF account has dropped off dramatically. QFF's systems would have no way of knowing this, so they are trying to see if they can get any intelligence from a customer survey through an agency.

I'm 99.99% sure Qantas is able to get this data intelligence through other channels.
Heck - even possible to capture when someone has no FF# listed, flys private, or has changed from air -> train. Qantas is very much data driven these days so I'm inclined to think the survey is not designed to capture intel but rather the questions are a mechanism to filter out members from continuing further in the survey.

But as far as I can tell no one has made it through to any further questions ...

I'm a fair way behind in reading emails but I did receive a Qantas survey on 21 April "We'd like to know what you think".

Qantas email said:
Dear John,

We'd appreciate your feedback

We're always working to improve the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and an important part of this is understanding what our members think.

This is not the same survey as the one the OP received but I feel they are similar and Qantas must be doing research as to what people feel about the QFF program. In my case they focused on comparing QFF with Velocity and I gave both programs some very poor reviews in being able to redeem points. Not that anyone is going to listen anyway.

Just to clarify - I was not suggesting the survey actually does mean QF intends to leave Oneworld, it was just a very strange survey and I was speculating as to its purpose. Wildly.
