Can I please obtain some advice regarding obtaining a higher level of status with QF ? If, for example a member obtains enough points to move up a level halfway through, or maybe later, in their member year, what length of time do you remain at the higher level ?
I notice that section 20.1.6 states that "membership status levels are valid for a minimum of one year."
Does this mean that you would be upgraded to the next level you are qualified for, and remain there for one year only, dropping back to your original level exactly after that one year period has expired ? (noting my comment in previous paragraph) Or would you be elevated to the higher level when you qualify, remain there for the duration of that membership year & carry over for the next full year ?
Cheers,
Stroudy.

You get it for your membership year. For instance, if I move from Gold to Plat in Oct 2018 and my membership year finishes in December, that means I would be Plat until Dec 2019. Hopefully that makes sense?

When you earn enough status credits AND have flown the required 4 sectors on Qantas (the 4 ' ~ ' hurdle), you will be moved up to the new status level as soon as the SCs have been processed (if flying on a partner airline, this may take a week or more).. You will remain there for the remainder of that status year, and the next full year.

Thank you both. That's the way I thought it operated, but couldn't find corroboration.
Stroudy.
