I was booked in Y (B class) on QF1508 HBA-MEL when it was cancelled (a common occurrence I understand from other threads) on 29 April.
It seems Alan Joyce wants me to be eternally grateful that they managed to send a JQ plane down to HBA to arrange a flight home much later that evening (JQ7304) and that they kept open the QP until boarding that when I had the audacity to put in an online missing points claim it came back with a big fat zero.
It seems that QF don't want to hear from their FF by phone. (Option "3" for FF enquiries didn't appear to be a "valid option") so I lodged a request by the online form. That was over a week ago now and still no response.
It's only 20 Status Credits but its the principle, combined with the inability to quickly talk or respond by email to fix an issue.

Did you use the magic words? - "Original Routing Credit"
You would've got zero because you didn't actually fly QF1508. As they cancelled the flight you need to ask for a credit as per the original booking.

Thanks - I'll cast another feedback response into the black hole of Qantas, but I did explain what happened in detail in my previous contact
