Some change to the wording on the QF Internet page.

A333s now.
  • All A330-300 aircraft, with A330-300Y aircraft being enabled
My presumption would be that this means VH-QPM (which enters service today) might be done, and the other two leased ex-AY aircraft will follow.
But it's also incorrect about QPA-QPD (noting QPB currently in maintenance)

a380 left on the international flights to be done ?
Inconsistent with what's on the QF website, and per above don't believe it correct.

737s - the 4 ex-SQ aircraft XZQ-XZT don't have a hump
333s - the 4 oldest QPA-QPD don't have humps (QPB currently in maintenance) and there have been some staff suggestions that they won't get it and will be retired.
The 2 dry leased AY aircraft QPK, QPL have a hump but aren't connected (possibly wrong aerial type) and we don't know about recently acquired QPM. The QF website suggests these 'Y' aircraft will get Wifi soon.

On my recent flight from USA on a 787 the connection was definitely spotty over the Pacific Ocean. Very usable for messages and some social media browsing, and when it worked speeds were 50mbps down and 20mbps up. Even managed to watch a few YouTube videos. However, it spent at least as much time unavailable as it did available and was only consistently usable once we were flying over Australia.

I guess that's not a surprise though given it's exactly what Qantas advertise on their website.
