Qantas starts international wifi

On a completely full 737 WLG-SYD. The trans-tasman performance is really consistently great.
Now we just need Viasat to fix their performance in the area around Indonesia (at least on East Coast to Singapore flights), it drops out way too much.

Is it just congestion on that beam, or are there restrictions on satellite internet there due to government regulations (like how India can be problematic).

Yeah, I've noticed that flying into Singapore on 330-200s, it's quite spotty over Indonesia.
I always assumed it was a regulatory problem over that region as there shouldn't be too many physical satellite gaps there.
