QPV didnt realise they took delivery of QPM-QPV heheheh.

On a serious note, they do seem to be getting through the 787s quite quickly which is nice.

So just want to see if I got info right.

Viasat 3-F1 (faulty deployment) is up and operational althrough crippled. NA
Viasat 3-F2 Currently in deployment phase - NA
Viasat 3-F3 Currently in final preparation for launch (target before May 2026) - APAC.
Does this mean they're now building out a F4 to cover EMEA that F2 was meant to cover?

Also I wonder if even with this Viasat system if the speeds will really be able to even come close to Starlink throughput. If i understand my specs correctly, each V3 Starlink satelite would have theoretical capabilities similar to the Viasat 3 satelites?

As I understand no.
Basically other Inmarsat Ka band satellites (also known as Global Express / Gx series) will fill in the European gaps, as seen in the map above.
F1 is currently covering Hawaii to California, though may be moved to a European orbit once F2 is deployed.

Think there is plenty enough throughout at the satellite level. Suspect the chokepoint will be the capacity of the onboard antennas and how many people using the system (obviously higher on aircraft where it's free).

Obviously Starlink will have much better ping times, at least until ViaSat also includes capacity from %he LEO Telesat Lightspeed network.

I guess we'll properly see Viasat 3 once F2 is rolling and Delta pax have data input coming in although the fact that Delta is also choosing Amazon LEO probably suggests they feel Viasat won't be enough.
