Have been reliably informed that the first of the 787s is due to get Wi-Fi in October, with the remainder to be fitted out by June/July with the intention to offer connectivity on US services. Also flying on A380s and 787s nextBut I know wifi isn't going to be a thing for them for a long time.
So only once you reached Aus mainland? Not turned on for viasat connection though.
No not even. Wifi connectable but internet just turned off.So only once you reached Aus mainland?
That may be local civil aviation rules? I think this differs from country to country./region.Can confirm wifi exists on QPI. Where i can connect, ill play around. No connection at NRT on the ground though.
On QF44 this coming Tuesday @patrickwAnother data point, VH-EBB, QF44, no wifi until reaching the mainland (I technically checked when we were near ASP).
Can't tell from this thread if it's been upgraded?
No mention either of the wifi on the ground in DPS.
Unsure if they made a mid-flight announcement.
Bali isn't currently covered by the signal and CGK is just shy of the coverage area. Once leaving Australia, the coverage resumes towards the end of the flight for flights in/out of SIN, HKG, NRT/HND and MNL.Another data point, VH-EBB, QF44, no wifi until reaching the mainland (I technically checked when we were near ASP).
Would you know why 333 with wifi dome would have it switched off?Bali isn't currently covered by the signal and CGK is just shy of the coverage area. Once leaving Australia, the coverage resumes towards the end of the flight for flights in/out of SIN, HKG, NRT/HND and MNL.
The expansion to Asia is coming soon though.
