Qantas starts international wifi

333 QPI now out of major maintenance at BNE, so suspect it now has internet.
Replaced in the shed by QPJ.

Think that's one of the three 332s without at present (EBM/P/Q) - normally not on the domestic sectors.
Wow what are my odds. VH-EBP to Singapore right now. 2 a332 flights both no wifi.

Wi-Fi on QF152 today (738 - VH-VZL) was non-existent until about 20-25mins prior to landing in MEL. Shame too as we’ve been flying into quite the headwind so it’s been a long flight over.

Also flying on A380s and 787s next 😐😂 But I know wifi isn't going to be a thing for them for a long time.
Have been reliably informed that the first of the 787s is due to get Wi-Fi in October, with the remainder to be fitted out by June/July with the intention to offer connectivity on US services.

Another data point, VH-EBB, QF44, no wifi until reaching the mainland (I technically checked when we were near ASP).

Can't tell from this thread if it's been upgraded?

No mention either of the wifi on the ground in DPS.
Unsure if they made a mid-flight announcement.

All the early 332s have WiFi humps and are definitely activated for within the Australian continent (NBN Skymuster coverage). As do all the later ones except EBM, EBP, EBQ. Then you also have 333s QPH and QPI.

Now whether it's actually activated for the longer Asian flights is another matter, and it's not clear whether this is an all at once thing, or aircraft by aircraft upgrades.

The recent FY presentation drew a distinction between SE Asian and Trans-tasman coverage (active) and broader Asian coverage (December 2025).
