How long did the dead spot last for? An hour?VH-EBL QF72 Singapore to Perth on Friday night worked for quite a bit out of Singapore then hit a dead spot until over the coast of WA.
When it went dead I didn’t check for a while as I was snoozing (having connected from QF2) so I wasn’t testing it. Just tried it again after I woke and it was working and we were over the coast. How long did the dead spot last for? An hour?
Did you ask crew why?VH-EBV did not have Wi-Fi the whole way. Was undiscoverable.

Looks like QPH finally back into service a couple of days ago. Replaced by QPI in the hanger.Report on airliners.net that A333 VH-QPH, which is presumably shortly to return to service, has received the satellite bump in BNE maintenance, making it the first in the 333 fleet.
I was on VH-EBV last night and it was still out of action, unless it was a coincidence.VH-EBV did not have Wi-Fi the whole way. Was undiscoverable.
No wi-fi QF61(VH-QPH) Sat. 7 or QF62(VH-QPG) Sun 8 JuneLooks like QPH finally back into service a couple of days ago. Replaced by QPI in the hanger.
I was also on that flight and the WiFi was great. Wasn't expecting it so a nice surprise after the delayCurrently on VH-QPH accessing the Wi-Fi MEL-SYD. No Wi-Fi shown on the QF app nor the terminal departures board.

I wonder if this is all 737s or just some that have been refitted (if thats what it even needed)? Was on VH-XZD as QF157 MEL-AKL last night, but not expecting the WiFi to be available for anything more than just Qantas Entertainment. Was very pleased to find that, save for some brief interruptions, internet was available for most of the flight.
My last TT was only a few weeks ago ex-WLG and it was not available on the in- nor outbound sectors.
They are all ready to goI wonder if this is all 737s or just some that have been refitted (if thats what it even needed)?
I think it's the same 737 antenna's. It's connecting it with those satellites on the "partner roaming" satellites above. Asia was first and now TT. So great to hear it's on for the 737s!I wonder if this is all 737s or just some that have been refitted (if thats what it even needed)?
Also flying on A380s and 787s nextBut I know wifi isn't going to be a thing for them for a long time.
