Qantas starts international wifi

Report on airliners.net that A333 VH-QPH, which is presumably shortly to return to service, has received the satellite bump in BNE maintenance, making it the first in the 333 fleet.
 
Did you ask crew why?

This is Qantas we're talking about ... that would certainly be met with this sort of response:

(I once flew Qantas SYD-HKG in First class and had a non-functioning headphone port. Asked for assistance and was met with an eye-roll and immediate "we'll write it up in the engineering log for someone to look at in Hong Kong"... great!)
 
VH-EBC was working all the way till the coast near BME, after that, was a slight nudge connection via the QF entertainment app and connection was restored all the way to SIN.

Looks like QPH finally back into service a couple of days ago. Replaced by QPI in the hanger.
