Yes, I agree, but when you travel as light as I do, every sq cm of space in my carryon is valuable, and I'm afraid the amenity kit couldn't make the cut. I would have liked to take it home as it was nice, but unfortunately hard decisions sometimes have to be made.Collect & donate to a local charity is a good option. Airline PJs also valued as "base layer" for rough sleepers.
But it did manage to get as far as my hotel, because I really wanted to see what was in it. The socks and mask are now occupying space in my carryon. As for the rest, perhaps some poor Indonesian is enjoying them. I left the bag in a prominent position in my room. I could have tossed it in the bin, but that would have been wasteful.
