Hi everyone.

I have a qantas tag from back in my QF Gold days. Flying to BKK soon and wondering if these work as bag tags or will I need to print out the luggage sticker to check my bag?

Cheers!

Also worth removing them completely yourself prior to check-in else they will be removed for you at some point.. baggage handlers seem to love nothing more then collecting FF bag tags.. especially top tier ones!

I've never had this happen to me in all my international travel. What use would a tag be with someone else's name on to a baggage handler?

Who would want a bag tag that has my personal details scribbled on it? I mean obviously no one since I've never had a tag stolen off my bag.

The top tier ones are as much status symbols for some as they are actual useful bag identifiers.. my Cathay Diamond tags went missing on about 50% of flights, fortunately Cathay were sympathetic to the problem and replaced them as often as I asked.

I'm pretty sure there being re-used with the details removed (to impress or perhaps thinking they will get some sort of additional treatment just with the bag-tag) or simply sitting in someones "collection"

The two worst airports for it that I found were SJO (Costa Rica) and MNL (Philippines).. well not certain that they were not taken in between (such as LAX or MIA) but every time I landed in either of these, they were missing.
