Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

If they gave us some decent options I might but doubt I’ll fly QF to places that are already served by others and who have done the right thing by us 🤣

How about a QF A321XLR to SIN, and then connect to other QF flights to LHR? Would that suffice?

That personally has no interest but perhaps it does for some. If I’m going to do a 1 stop trip to London we do have several better quality airlines at our disposal.
I’d probably only fly QF out of ADL if it was direct to somewhere currently not served like BKK for example

I reckon the Arctic route SYD-LHR could see a double sunset and a double sunrise before landing depending on the time of the year.

first sunset soon after departure from SYD, first sunrise up in the north pacific around japan latitude, then sunset again when its north of Alaska and the sunrise into LHR.

Probably only rarely, , as it seems (and has been mentioned) most likely to do this route during the northern winter . At the end of Feb London sunrise is at 6:50am.
