The place to answer this is neither here nor the article, it’s the Qantas Money site, took me less than 2 minutes. And yea, it is now 24 months sadly.
Well yes. You would think it is best to check the Qantas Money site first (I did actually). But it is not clear. The only mention of "24 months" on the Qantas Money site is in relation to the additional 40,000 points: "Plus an additional 40,000 bonus points if you haven’t earned Qantas Points with any credit card in the last 24 months".

Clause 6 of Qantas Money Credit Cards | Qantas Money (in the Important Information section) states

Members are not eligible for more than one first-time Qantas Points earning credit cardholder bonus within the last 24 months. In the event of multiple new cardholder Bonus Points offers in the market for the same offer period, eligible members will be provided with the highest bonus points offer.

I don't know. My interpretation of that is that it is only referring to the additional 40,000 points: i.e. the "first-time Qantas Points earning credit cardholder bonus". So I'm still wondering if the recent name change to this credit card has reset the exclusion period to zero months for us all (for the 60,000 point bonus). Anyone game to test this?

I tried to test it after noticing the 12 month exclusion period seemed to be removed. I closed the card in June. However, the website to apply wouldn't work (I tried both logged in and logged out of my QFF account, and with multiple browsers). I gave them a call, and they were unable to resolve it. They said they would call back, and haven't yet.

I must admit to simply assuming that it was 24 months for the Qantas Premier Credit Card. Westpac's requirement is 24 months and I thought all the credit card providers were the same.

I signed up recently when the migration happened in early September, I got my october points as expected but it has taken 2 weeks later in the month to get my November points. I would have hit the spend threshold in this second period too but I havent got that bonus 60k points yet. Anyone else had luck with this? I did make a complaint and they gave me $100 compensation which was a bit unexpected

I have noticed similar for the Titanium card. Also signed up in September. October points received 4 days after my statement. November points took 11 days. Still waiting on the 150k bonus points.

I just received my annual fee. I phoned today to see if they would waive/halve it. No way, no options.
They said because it is an active card and I already received complimentary benefits, they could offer nothing.

I also asked about increasing my credit limit. But they do not have this option at the moment. Maybe working on it? Hmmm

60k bonus points for this card doesnt seem to post as quick as before... I think the wording changed a bit. It is 2 months max after hitting the required spend now. Before it seemed to be the next statement after hitting the require spend.

So I will have to see what the next statement brings.

Confirming the 60k bonus points - so now it will likely take 3 statements for the bonus to be posted for these cards. Basically 2 months after you hit the required spend.

I recently applied for this card, sent in my payslips and got approval. But now their website and app won't let me login with a generic error.

Anyone else experience this?

Does anyone have any thoughts on the current wording for the bonus point offer? The additional 40k is clear that you can’t have held in 24 months but what about the main 80k?

From my reading, it does appear that while the 40k is only earned if you haven’t earned Qantas points on a credit or charge card within 24 months, there doesn’t seem to be any mention of any restriction on the 80k relating to previously holding either this card, another Qantas Money card, or other Qantas points earning cards. Looks like the 80k would still be earned in those cases, provided the $5k spend in 90 days requirement is met, but would be interested to know whether anyone has tested that and has received the bonus points. Copied the current terms for the bonus points offer below for reference:
  1. Offer commenced 5 March 2026. To be eligible for up to 120,000 bonus Qantas Points, you must apply for a new Qantas Money Platinum Credit Card before the offer is withdrawn. 80,000 Qantas Points will be awarded when $5,000 or more is spent on eligible purchases within 90 days from card approval. Eligible purchases must be processed and charged to your account in the first 90 days from the account approval. Eligible purchases do not include Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Refunds, Chargebacks and Special Promotions. An additional 40,000 bonus Qantas Points offer is available to approved cardholders who have met the criteria for the 80,000 bonus points and have not earned Qantas Points on a credit or charge card into their Qantas Frequent Flyer account within the previous 24 months from card application (limited to one per Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards member only). Members are not eligible for more than one first-time Qantas Points earning credit cardholder bonus within the last 24 months. In the event of multiple new cardholder Bonus Points offers in the market for the same offer period, eligible members will be provided with the highest bonus points offer. This offer cannot be combined with any other Qantas branded credit card offer. Bonus Qantas Points will ordinarily be credited within 2 months of meeting the spend criteria. Any bonus Qantas Points will be forfeited if you no longer hold or close your Qantas Money Platinum Credit Card Account before they appear in your Qantas Frequent Flyer Account. All rewards are subject to the Qantas Money Credit Card Rewards Terms and Conditions. The account needs to be in good standing (for example - your account is not in default, suspended or closed) for bonus points to be awarded. Offer may be varied or withdrawn at any time.
