Qantas Points Club Discussion

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before, but are bonus points for QF Hotels for PC v PC+ worked out at the time of booking or at the time of the stay?

eg one can earn SCs for CR flights while ever PC/PC+ regardless of PC status at the time of booking.

Cheers

Only 1.5 months to go in my membership year, and approx 470,000 points in the kitty.

Obviously I won't be interested next membership year.

Has Qantas shot itself in the foot in making it credit card based? (I think so)

How greedy can you be?

We don’t know yet precisely what’s coming.

Meanwhile, if your knocking up that many points, then there’s a good chance you could retain at least PC up to Sep/Oct 2028.

Or when they will be retiring Points Club for requalifications... other than the very generic "late 2026"

Loyalty schemes should have consumer protection rules requiring proper notification of changes!
I agree the specifics are lacking, but IMO its hard to argue around notification… we were notified in Feb 2026 of changes to likely take effect at the end of 2027… almost 2 years that Points Club will end. At this point its buyer beware surely?
