With two days to go to year end, I needed 5302 points to make "plus". So I just transferred 5304 QBR points and instantly I am now "points club plus"

I suppose the challenge is now to see if I can knock out another ~150k before the changes.

The Qantas Insurance Points Blitz is back - if policies suit then there may be some well timed opportunity there.

With the first hit of Health Insurance points taking 60 days, I fear it's too late/risky for me to switch to assist my PC+ goal for end of July. Will likely take the unhealthy option and buy wine.

I had PC+ since early 2022 until 12 months ago. In mid 2022 i qualified for WP which I held for 3 years followed by 1 year of Gold.

I've just dropped to LTS (1 June) and I notice my status is now Qantas Club Silver. I can only assume my PC+ QC membership was banked but I didn't realise this was a thing?

Can anyone advise how long I expect to keep it? The 3 years I had WP and PC+ at the same time would be great!

Did you have any previous paid QP membership sitting on hold? I would assume that would be first cab off the rank.

If not, then having a banked QP year or two via PC+ would be handy for many!

There’s supposed to be a QP expiry date in the system but I think they dropped that after many of with LTG had some weird numbers come up.

If you click on your Card in the top right corner of the app, it should display Expiry Date.

My expiry shows April 2027 so 11 months. They must have brought it in ~ 2 years ago.

I haven't had paid QC for 25 years so it couldn't be that.

When dropping down tiers I’ve seen phantom QC memberships like this. I’ve found that it disappears after a few days, just after they’ve got your hopes up. Hope yours sticks!

Three months of Qantas club is given to those dropping from gold to silver.

It’s not a phantom membership, OP would have got QC membership for a year on attaining PC+ if they didn’t already have it as SG/WP in which case it gets banked until needed. I have 6 months from 1997 banked that will never be used.

OP’s other question is whether there are 3 years banked - having attain and retained PC+ for a total of three years while being WP.

Banking paid QP membership is well documented. Peeps getting the welcome surprise of a banked year of QP from prior PC+ after falling from grace is less well documented here - probably because it’s a small section of the AFF Venn diagram?

Getting three years of complimentary membership is 3x1 years so a max 1 year would be bank, there is no provision for banking multiple years.

*which isn’t good value but there’s no cap on points contributing to PC/PC+

BTW, the QF FF activity page has been enhanced and looks like it’s getting ready to show SCs earn from non-flying activity moving forward.

Looks like I will get Points Club Plus for the first time without having to purchase points. Concerned that CC sign up offers will likely get a lot worse so did a number of CC signups this membership year.

I thought there was a limit of 125k points per transaction counting to PC/PC+?

Interestingly I have many more SCs showing in Others than for Flights atm. Maybe a glitch.
