I requalified about 13 months ago. And also again 1 month ago.
This is regarding the vouchers from 13 months ago.

The PCP email said I've got these benefits for ~2 more months.
Points club benefits align with your membership year while vouchers have a 12 month expiry, the one voucher I have left expires Feb 27 while point club benefits expire Oct 27

10x points on apple gift cards via marketplace just helped to make a bit of a dent in the remaining for to PC+ this year, 20k now to close the gap. Should be achievable via monthly credit card sweeps, but, will depend on when qantas enact their program end date.
Well done! I thought I wouldn't retain PC+ again but I won some points so now only just short... a case of savvy B and a case of Prosecco from our good friends at Qantas Wine have just netted me 20k extra (and some nice wines) so like you a couple more credit card months will requalify me by July!

When’s your anniversary date? Hopefully should be ok if before Oct/Nov.

I’m done to 25k required by end of July. So a chunk from CC / other stuff and I’ll transfer the balance from QBR (up to 20k) before the end of July and again, hopefully well in time to be “grandfathered”.

End September, I'm considering sweeping some over from EDR in the meantime just to lock it in. The previous behaviour of hoarding in edr and converting based on PC needs is seemingly no longer required in the new regime.

Am hoping I can time things right and combine my 100sc rollover with the new sc on the ground offer, and any other transitional arrangements to get a head start on next year's retain. Assuming it's not a high bar, should accrue a few k in Woolworths between now and then, to sweep over easily.

I’m doing the same. Hedging my bets until I know firm dates for the program changes, at which time I can decide on my final plan of attack.

I have PC locked in until my year end in March 2027. I have enough Amex credit card points that I could transfer over now or in the near future to requal for PC until March 2028. I think all we AFFers have assumed that the PC benefits would be grandfathered until 2028 for those who requal, especially the ability to earn SC on reward flights which is the thing I value the most. I don't usually use my Amex points for anything other than judiciously transferring to QF to retain PC.

I will not make PC+.

I'm finding it very hard to work out my best strategy on whether to transfer and retain until March 2028. I don't want to be stuck with a white elephant (and maybe even be preculded from what might be a "better and fairer" use of my points), but equally I do value the ability to earn SC on reward flights very highly. I am not at all clear how, or even if, ' will be able to earn points on reward flights under the new arrangements. I don't think the new arrangements will actually favour me, as I did not earn many SC in the "SC on the ground promo" last year - only in the cards and banking category and the food and wine category. I highly doubt I will be using the other categories from that promo in the future. So really I'm just a points collector.

I have a bit more time up my sleeve for the requal decision than those with earlier year end dates, but I am wondering if I am better to just secure PC until 2028 while I can, or if I should just wait and hope the info about rpogram changes is announced with sufficient lead time to let me jump either way. Seems I am not alone in this quandary.

We normally hit the PC limit through our normal spend - our membership year ends on 30 June.. I got a new credit card sign on a couple of months ago which has bumped up us up to PC+, so I have the vouchers at least and what might come from having PC+ until June 2027. But given I've hit LTG, and about to retire, it's all a bit academic. I'll wait and see what happens.

If you have done this year yet don’t have enough for pc+ then I cannot see you achieving anything until your anniversary date, at which point points club is gone, in other words you have until Mar 27 to enjoy.

thanks for your reply. On 31 Mar 26 I had 150k+ points in my account and so I requalified for PC benefits until 31 Mar 27. On 1 April 2026, my points reset to 0 for my new membership year. At this moment, I have ~10k achieved. If I get to 150k by either March 27 or more likely, by the closure date of PC (whenever that is in late 2026), wouldn't I then be qualified for PC until March 28? I'm sure I read somewhere upthread that some people have already achieved PC for 2028 and that this is showing on their membership cards.

So really the question is this - is anyone aware of the downsides of pushing to get to 150k for PC right now vs waiting until the closure is announced, and whether there will be opportunities at that point to have the best of both worlds by knowing what is being offered as the new alternative, but still being able to choose the old PC if you move quickly enough if that is what you prefer.

That's how I would read it, yes.

No downsides as far as I can tell. We're all still waiting to understand the relative value of requalifying out to (potentially) 2028 vs letting it lapse and simply taking up whatever the new alternative is going to look like. If you're in a position to hedge your bets, then I think it's a good option.

I'm a Sep 30 Member year end, so I'm aiming to retain this member year and be in a position to (potentially) move quickly - should the program end of life permit - if it makes sense to do so in my next member year.

If your yet to requalify post your anniversary date then you are in a good position, keeping in mind I would do it ASAP. If you have an anniversary in Oct, then there is not much I can do until then
