So I sent them the QF Wine code that wasn't working and they confirmed there was some sort of error and have re-issued me a new $50 voucher. That's on top of the $50 discount that the QF Wine rep processed in lieu of the dud voucher.

So pretty happy with that result from QF.

Plus I got some random 1000 pts tagged "QANTAS Epicure Bonus Points"? (ontop of the 10,855 pts for the wine plus some extra to land on my QBR account in due course).

If you purchase over the phone, the wine reps are able to give you bonus points. Generally 1,000 for a $200 purchase, 2,000 for $300, etc.

I figured that was probably the case. But he didn’t mention it at the time. So a little extra bonus for the kerfuffle…

Haven't purchased this year, but the chat option at checkout (leading to a wine rep) would yield me several thousand bonus points as well.

Still waiting... Called them today and they said they would put a note in my file and that i should wait until July to follow up. Its a bit inconvenient that the sale ends on 30 June.

Surely they would want to incentivise me to shop with them and therefore issue me a voucher on the spot? I honestly don't particularly rate Qantas wine that highly, so I'm not a captive or loyal customer...

I only use them for the occasional bonus points offers. The PC free Wine membership and free delivery helps. I just rolled over PC for another year off the back of a 10,000 bonus point mixed doz.

Update - didn't receive birthday wine voucher for whole birthday month.

Waited until July to call and follow up (as per their request). Was in hold for 40 mins, but to their credit she issued a replacement voucher via email pretty promptly with validity to end of year.

Just waiting for some interesting bonus point offers to hit the website...
 
Anyone find that status credits have not been credited on Qatar or Finnair? BA I got the status credits straight away

Did that flight have a QF flight number though? Terms say "marketed or with a QF flight number".

However, I do like how Qantas hedge their bets:
"These conditions and exclusions may vary from time to time. It is the responsibility of the Member to check whether a proposed booking is eligible to earn Status Credits and if so, how many will be earned."

What booking class is shown on your eTicket? If it has somehow booked into one of the earning booking classes shown in the link below that would happen.


I've had a JAL F award somehow book into an earning class before but never got the chance to fly it due to covid :'(

Has it shown up on your activity statement as a classic award also, or in a paid earning category such as Discount Economy, Business, etc - and did it also earn points?
