Qantas Points Club Discussion

I noticed these two entries on my QFF statement balance. I'm not entirely sure what I did to earn them - any ideas? I haven't done any Qantas hotels in recent times.

Looks like an adjustment? Did you have a historical booking/stay with that booking reference?

I used my $50 voucher given to me as part of last years Points Club entitlement. The hotel in question was a cheap Bali overnighter which I spent an additional $2 (so a $52 booking). I did notice when I arrived I checked the price of booking if I did it then and it was cheaper, so it is plausible that they perhaps viewed it the same way and refunded me.
 
This is what the points would be from. Qantas Hotels earns 3 points per dollar, Points Club gets an extra 25% points & Points Club Plus gets an extra 50%.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't think I'd earn points on a voucher, but I won't say no!! :)
 
Hi, I just re-qualified for points club during my birthday month.
I note that in order to receive an email about your wine voucher, you need to have a certain box ticked in the email preferences. I have that box ticked now, but I am not sure if I ticked it before or after I re-qualified for PC.

Does anyone know how quickly the wine voucher will get credited and email generated? Or do I need to wait until my birthday month next year? The website says to look in"my account" section to find the voucher, but I can't readily see where it might be stored (if they grant it to me this year).

My last one arrived 12 days after my birthday. So if you were already PC and have since reqal’d it shouldn’t be far off?

My PC dashboard doesn’t show my Wine voucher. Some of us never got the website upgrade!

Thanks, but when I click through to My benefits and then click to wine store, it seems to be saying that I need a promo code from an email to get the discount. I'm guessing maybe I need to wait for the email 😖

Yeah you shouldn't need to click through to the wine store - once you're in the "see your benefits" section, the hotels and wine vouchers are right there up front - can't miss 'em.

I think give it a fortnight, then email qantas to ask for them to manually give you the voucher codes.

The QF Wine website is broken. The IT interns removed the voucher entry field… I hit that speed bump today. Need to phone in an order tomorrow to help keep my own PC for anther year (and use my voucher).

Despite raising a ticket I never did get my Hotel voucher, but wine one is stil waiting to be used/

I raised a feedback form yesterday and actually got a reply this morning. They want to check my voucher but I’m going to call QF Wine first to use it in case they stuff it up!
I probably should jot a note over on the the QF Wine thread, but a quick update on PC voucher usability (or not).

Over the weekend I was trying to use my PC $50 birthday voucher (issued last year and I forgot to use it on my previous order...). I was using an iPad and multiple browsers but the website rejected the voucher code. So I decided I'd call QF Wine to do the order that way but before I did, I logged into QF on a PC. and then clicked through to QF Wine via my version of the Points Club page. Low and behold, there was a bloody big banner telling me I had a $50 voucher and that to use it - enter it into the "Promo Code" field. Which I tried and was told to bugger off again.

So rang QF Wine (got through in < 1 min). He could get the code to work neither but processed the order with the offer to refund the $50. Assuming I get the cash back, I'm no worse off and a few QFF points in front (points based on purchase price before refund...).

Interestingly, my voucher has now disappeared.

Anyway, he mentioned that there had been some issues with vouchers since the QF wine website was "enhanced". Not to mentioned making you enter your details and loosing all the previous order history!
