Not everyone got the memo apparently. No jacket hanging on QF35 last week. Seems weird that crew would have completely forgotten something that's been done for decades pre-covid.But they are hanging up coats and jackets again for J pax

Fixed@Princess Fiona as one of the Mods can you get this thread added to the standard QF threads on page 1. I suspect I am becoming lazy as it is becoming harder to find this thread to post good news stories or a reason to retain P1.
As usual no email in the eastern isles. The latest P1 news letter just arrived via email, nothing to excited about. The give away prize seems to have dropped in value when compared to previous years, still entered.
This is a real enhancement under the "no spam or useless content" provisions.....As usual no email in the eastern isles.
Received a QFF newsletter. Nothing specific to P1 in it, and nothing personalized other than the header. This is a real enhancement under the "no spam or useless content" provisions.....
If memory serves me correctly, R4 on AU>NZ flights I thought is available for all Emeralds whereas it's only available for P1's on AU domestic routes. Were you able to select R4 on your MEL>SYD (if 737).I booked MEL-SYD-AKL in Y and after completing the booking went to MMB and was able to select row 4 SYD-AKL. I am BA GGL (P1 equivalent-ish) and have previously only been able to select at WP level, ie row 6. I wonder if this was a glitch or new recognition of status by QF/BA?

This is correct - with Qantas 737 International, WP can select row 4 on booking. If memory serves me correctly, R4 on AU>NZ flights I thought is available for all Emeralds whereas it's only available for P1's on AU domestic routes. Were you able to select R4 on your MEL>SYD (if 737).
I was able to choose second row on the (A330) MEL-SYD.If memory serves me correctly, R4 on AU>NZ flights I thought is available for all Emeralds whereas it's only available for P1's on AU domestic routes. Were you able to select R4 on your MEL>SYD (if 737).
That sounds correct. I assume you mean row 24? 23 is blocked for P1 on domestic flights so therefore what I said above holds. For domestic travel, first row of economy (rows 23 and 4) is blocked for P1 with different rules then applying for intl (e.g. emerald ability to book r4 on TT).I was able to choose second row on the (A330) MEL-SYD.
I may well be just seeing something that isn't there.
It appears to be available to WP, SG and PS as well. What isn't clear to me is how long the status lasts.. ie is it just a year? for as long as one stays P1? Not obvious from my reading of the T&C
WP, SG and PS get ALL Gold however, not Platinum. It appears to be available to WP, SG and PS as well.
Plat appears to be fo P1 and CL according to the fine print in the email.WP, SG and PS get ALL Gold however, not Platinum.
Unlike the Gold match which is from registration until Dec 23, it seems that we will need to stay at least one night at one of their hotels to extend the Platinum status through to 31 Dec 23Definitely happy to get the ALL Platinum status offer email today. A no brainer really and I probably opined a year or more back when the ALL partnership was first announced that it would be obvious for high status members to give recipricol perks. Good to see.
