London and New York (As previously announced) first cabs off the rank. Paris and Frankfurt also mentioned.

All Sunrise flights will be carbon neutral with all passengers being carbon offset.

The article says:

But still good news if there is announcement by the end of the year. That will mean work for those of us staying at QF given then uncertainty of the A380 in the future.

Article is paywalled so cant read, but certainly would be a good time to buy. Wondering if a trade-in of (?half, all??) the A380s is on the cards. Hard to imagine the A350 wont win this unless Boeing absolutely gives away the 777.

That's quite different to what's been quoted from The Australian in post #1, i.e. that Qantas is now two weeks away from an order! I can't read the article as paywalled - I assume the newspaper has taken the quote out of context?

These "announcements" from QF remind me of Seinfeld; a show about nothing. These ULH flights have been having these announcements for what, 10 years now and still nothing.

Nothing is a done deal until the orders are placed. Yes, I understand the A350 was the preferred option, but who knows what new deals may be on the table now. A lot has changed in the airline supply chain in a short period of time.

Agree and Boeing has been slaughtered with the 737MAX disaster then covid..... Might be able to offer some massive incentives to keep QF onside......

Why? Unless the Feds adopt a serious climate change policy it’s useless. They pay bonuses to execs and dividends to shareholders to feel the warmth.

They don’t administer the scheme they give it to a NFP I believe I looked into it once... QF is the #1 airline in the world with passengers offsetting flights actually which is interesting.
