Qantas now charging fuel surcharges for AA awards

Thanks Madrooster. Do you know where I can find any infomration about this?

There's nothing online. Why? Because you would spend forever compiling this kind of info by looking for awards online and even then most sites don't break down the taxes, fees and charges. I only know about it from having seen the ticketing data from plenty of award tickets.

If AA is levying a fuel fine on an award ticketed via a partner carrier, eg. QF, that fuel fine generally will apply to just about every other partner carrier's awards. So if QF has the fuel fine for AA, CX/BA/etc. would too.

Contrary to popular belief, JL also has the same behaviour, for example on JL ex-US awards, you will find there's a noticeable fuel fine (albeit nothing like QF's ex-US fuel fines).
