Hello fellow travelers,

i reckon this has been asked before but my search of threads failed, here goes:

When booking Qantas flights and the Jstar symbol comes up with the flight specs, but showing a QF flight does that mean:-

A. I am going to be on a Jstar flight but will still get status credits and points even though I am travelling

with them.

As I am going to travelling frequently from Sydney to Denpasar I would like to get the most out of it, it

seems to me that there is no other option but to go Jstar.

i am open to suggestions.

Cheers,Onemore

Qantas no longer fly their metal to DPS.

They codeshare on flights like QF269 which is actually operated by JQ37.

Thanks, that being the case will I get status credits and will I have pay extra for luggage and food?

How long is it since QF flew to DPS?

They should focus on improving services to CGK

For the QF codeshares you will be fed and receive non alcoholic drinks at no additional cost. Also there is a basic luggage allowance.

More here: Qantas Industry Sales Site - Policies and Procedures - Qantas Codeshare on Jetstar Operated Flights

As for SC's (and QFF points for that matter) it depends on the fare (needs to be in booking classes of W, B, H, K or Y).
