Qantas makes getting points harder!

Recently had to "upgrade" my Amex due to reasons between Amex and my Association parting ways. So Went Amex Plat'n Edge, was talking with Amex customer service on a separate issue and came across the fact by accident, that Qantas, bless their flea-bagged-penny-pinching souls, have decided to rip-off their points holders YET AGAIN!!! Just last week they made this change with no fanfare or anything akin to a notice, BUT now, unless you have a QANTAS branded card, you CAN NOT access reward points to convert to FF miles on Qantas. Where was that announcement????? Even the Amex CS person was quietly p'd off. So with the ability to gain upto 3 points per $, Virgin will get all our business as the Irish born business killer continues to destroy one the last iconic Australian business. Wonder what Paddy would have to say??

EXACTLY! It has been done under the "stealth of night" program they seem to like deploying at Qantas. Really poor form!
As several others have stated, nothing has changed this week. The Platinum Edge card, Platinum Reserve card and others, as stand alone cards, have not been able to transfer as you say since 2009.
