Fairly certain it’s back to normal, it’s been open every time I’ve gone through recently. After the recent lockdown there was a sign saying it was reopening at 5am on Good Friday.

SYD ask for the Service NSW check in on top of BP scan. CBR and MEL just ask for BP scanning.

EDIT: SYD J asks you to check in with the app but they don't demand to see proof.

In most states, if it's not mandatory yet then it'll be required shortly. Notable exceptions are the NT which allow any tracing system to be used and VIC which allows you to use any tracing system provided it can upload data into their own system via an API.

NSW requires businesses to use the Services NSW platform.
VIC requires either the gov QR app or if a business can connect to the VIC API to upload data in then that's sufficient. Perhaps QF has built a way to upload data from a boarding pass scan into the VIC gov systems?
QLD will require the gov QR app from 1 May.
SA requires use of the gov app.
ACT should be using the app as of 6 March.
TAS will required the gov QR app from 1 May.
NT allows any system to be used.
WA also requires the gov check in app.

I downloaded and used the VIC gov app as required when I was in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago and it caused my SMS messages and mail apps to stop working and to keep crashing. Once I entered the lounge on departure, I uninstalled it and my apps started working again.

Anyone know if or when the OOL lounge will reopen?

Anyone know what the deal is in New Zealand.

Some family members flew out of Christchurch recently and were told that lounge access was not available. They were instead handed $20 vouchers each.

Were they flying QF in J or did they have OW status (and flying QF not JQ)?

NZ lounge may have been full. Or perhaps CHC is out of scope for the lounge sharing arrangement given QF dont have their own lounge but use Manaia?

I flew out of AKL yesterday and we were sent to the Air New Zealand lounge. While I don't have any photos it was an upgrade from the Qantas lounge with the tarmac views, newer furniture and the full buffet - yes it was all self-serve unlike the Qantas lounges in Australia.

I would assume in Christchurch it's because either Air NZ doesn't have an international lounge or if they do don't have the international passenger volumes yet to justify re-opening it at this stage. There is contract lounge Qantas and Emirates usually use but I'd assume the same story with them.

They were QF Club flying QF in Y.

The Air NZ international lounge is open in CHC but I wonder if they don't bother staying open for QF134 at 6:30pm.

For those who have used the Air NZ lounge flying Qantas, did they just scan the boarding pass or was there some other process? If it was a simple scan of the boarding pass then perhaps Koru Express or the domestic Koru might allow access with a QF boarding pass?

I used NZ international lounge at WLG flying QF. The BP doesn't scan and they check you against a list.
