Qantas Lounge Pet Peeves

Lots of the usb chargers do not work as stuff has gotten inside, or that so many people have used it over the years, and no repairs have been done.
So you can plug in your usb charge cord, if the plug is too cluncky, and there is no electricity coming out of the usb outlet.
Can't even charge a smallish battery bank.
For security reasons, I rarely use public USB ports (at least for my phone and tablet). Other stuff that just needs a recharge (NC headphones etc) are fare game.

Sadly Sydney Dom J lounge seems permanently devoid of bacon, where as even OOL QP has bacon at breaky.
Oh really? Sadly I do not grace the good steps of OOL much these days as our base has mostly moved to YBAF.

I have seen them in BNE too.

Oh I just can't let an opportunity to bash Apple go by. I have owned several Apple products and the only one I liked was the 1st generation iPod Nano. Since then I have only gripes. I hope someone got fired for that ridiculous charger design!

I'm forever a Windows/Linux/Android person, I think.

Can't blame the lounge on this one

Chicken sausages in the morning, I mean, how disgusting and cheap is this?

I have seen these every time in MEL and I think the one time I was at SYD a while back.

#Bring back the bacon!.

Possibly nothing to do with price, but a more "inclusive" offering. They're the same price at woolies.

Another pet peeve at the Brisbane domestic J lounge - there is no self-service coffee machine meaning you have to queue up at the bar to get a coffee made which admittedly isn't a big deal if the lounge isn't busy but can be quite annoying when you're travelling at peak times. Meanwhile the QF Club at BNE has such self-serve coffee machines. Also, I think the QF Club at BNE offers better views of the tarmac. Taken together this seems to suggest that BNE suffers from Sydney domestic lounge syndrome.

Then stay in the QP. Nobody's forcing you to use the J lounge. Or move between both.

A "peeve" with a very simple solution that you can "self serve"

goodness me.

So you need TWO cables. Or one cable and a travel friendly power supply.
Possibly. I rarely use a USB cable to transfer anything from/to my iPhone or MacBook. 99% of the time it is simply used for charging. Generally just use Wifi, Airdrop or BT to data transfer. I'm backing most people have multiple cables anyway, what's one more?

CarPlay? Yes, more are wireless now but plenty of rentals are still cable only.

There's always edge cases. Bluetooth has been around for 25 years. I'd be choosing a different car rental agency.

Anyway, off topic now.
Not really. OP was a pretty specific issue but an easily worked around peeve.

A recent rental car didn’t have Bluetooth AirPlay but had moved to USB-C. But I‘d forgotten to pack a USB-C cable…
