I hope this is the right place for this question . I have a BNE-SYD coming up with Y ticket and thinking abt using one of 2 Qantas pass come my ANZ Black .

Do i get access to the new BNE Domestic Lounge recently open or i need to go to an older Qantas Club like SYD ?

The new domestic lounge is a J lounge so a QC pass won't get you in unfortunately.

Thanks for quick answer opusman , looking to redeem 8k points for this flight , the question is should i spend another 8k to try out this new lounge

That's not a question anyone else can answer unfortunately - only you can determine whether you value lounge access before the flight, a better choice of in-flight grog, and a bigger seat as being worth 8k points.

Personally, I find domestic business to be vastly out of proportion in cost relative to actual benefits.

I would give it at least one go, and spend the points. The lounge is great, I am not a fan of the "Mexican" food theme, but overall I really great lounge experience.

16K for a domestic is not that value compare to 65k Business on a A350 from HK with Cathay at least that is my opinion , but this is a brand new lounge fr Qantas and one of the best domestic lounge world-wide , really wanna see what the fuss is all about . I might pull the trigger on this one and enjoy myself in the lounge .

This will be my 2nd Domestic J lounge experience after the first one in SYD and i did have a really good experience in SYD . I dont travel that often so this will be a great exp .

An alternative is to look on the lounge meet ups thread for the month you want if anyone is flying around the same time as you on the same day and maybe they can guest you in. Costs nothing:).
