Hi guys,

Long story short is I am meeting up with my grandfather in Dubai to help him on the home leg of his trip (wheelchair and doesn't really speak anything other than Spanish)

He had already booked his flights via Emirates on ek branded flights, although one of the flights is a Qantas codeshare.

The flights I have booked are the Qf equivalent of these flights, my question is (I'm pretty sure I know it's a no) is since I'm a gold qff can I bring him into the lounge or would he need to be on a qf flight to do it?

Thanks everyone
Martin

Not an expert but the Eligibility page says "Gold Frequent Flyer
Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas^ or Emirates^ flight number.
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight."
I read that as its ok.
The only issue I can see is the definition of "travelling with the member" is where you can get stuck. However the same last name is probably on your side.

Im probably not an expert so if others know better go with them

I had a similar question a little while ago that I asked in this thread. The answer seemed to be "yes", though I haven't tested it yet.
