Hi I am interested in the lounge at Dubai too. I am a QC member and my wife and I are flying to Europe next month with Emirates from Adelaide. Can we use the J lounge as well?

I liked this lounge a lot. I agree with Berlin re Ћ staff.

My next visit I will be flying EK in F and I think Ћ boarding will be smoother as F is on theЋ upper deck.

I love Ћ spaciousness of Ћ lounge, but I wouldn't mind if Neil Perry got some of his cuisine on Ћ menu.

Poses an interesting dilemma for me. I'm flying through Dubai later this month. Connection time is 7 hours so I've got the Dubai connect option. However, I don't know whether it's better to just chill, drink, eat, spa in the Flounge or go through the hassle of leaving the airport, checking in to the connect hotel, then turning round after a few hours to return to the airport.

If I take the lounge option I'll make sure to get the forum a definitive answer on the restaurants....

After a long sleep on Qf1 to Dubai I decided to just stay in the lounge for 7 hours. I couldn't see the point in all the hassle just to spend a few hours in a hotel wide awake.

Turned out to be a good choice.

The Flounge is colossal and the fine dining section is well worth a visit. An excellent buffet and a la carte menu to choose from, good service and spacious. The wine selection was impressive - Pierro Chardonnay, Yarra Yerring Dry Red no 1 2006, and a Chateau Clinet 2001 Pomerol. Other eating sections are available with a selection of gourmet nibbles - good cheese, fois gras, sushi etc.

The spa is also pretty good. I managed to get a decent back massage without a wait.

Visiting again tonight and wishing I had a loner connection.

Thanks everyone for posting info, regarding the DXB F lounge menus - will they be the same when I transit on QF9 later this year? ie no seasonal menus like the MEL/SYD F lounges? Looks like an 11.25pm arrival and 1am departure.

Here are some low res images of the map - just head to one of the two purple "fine dining" locations on either side of the terminal I guess?
